Postpartum Meningitis by Enterococcus Faecalis Secondary to Neuraxial Anesthesia

Meningitis is an infrequent and serious cause of postpartum fever that requires early diagnosis and treatment to prevent serious complications and to reduce the high mortality rate. Neuraxial anesthesia is a frequently used technique in obstetrics. Meningitis is a very rare complication of neuraxial anesthesia and enterococcus is only involved in exceptional cases.
