The ruins of the Big Bell Hospital slumber today under the intense sun of the remote West Australian outback. Between 1942 and 1955 it served a remarkably busy goldmine, but like the hotels and shops it lived and died with the mine.
Ramsay Hunt syndrome (RHS) is an infectious disease charac terized by delayed activation of latent herpes zoster virus in the geniculate ganglion and subsequent spread to cranial nerve.
1.1. Introductions: Hemangiopericytoma (HPC) is a tumor from pericytes surrounding capillary walls. Most HPCs grow slowly, but others display aggressive growth. Treatment for HPC is total resection or resection plus adjuvant radiation.
Common hepatic artery (CHA) pseudoaneurysm is a rare and po tentially life-threatening complication after pancreaticoduodenec tomy, and the possible cause is unclear. We report a case of intra peritoneal hemorrhage after pancreaticoduodenectomy who was discharged after embolization under DSA. We consider that this complication may be related to iatrogenic injury.
1.1. Introduction: Post-COVID-19 syndrome is a condition that develops in the patients recovered from COVID-19 resulting into the cumulative effects of dyspnoea and impaired lung function. Notably, higher concentrations of HA have been found in patients with respiratory inflammation and COVID-19. As, bovhyaluroni dase azoximer (Longidaza®) catalyses the hydrolysis of HA, the treatment has the potential to lower HA concentrations and im prove lung function in patients with post-COVID-19 syndrome.
In this study, serval eco-friendly novel complexes were synthe sized and characterized having the general formula of [CoC46H 60Cl2 N8 O4 ] (I), [CuC43H53Cl2 N7 O3 ] (II), [CuC4 H16Cl2 N4 O8 ] (III) and [Cl4 Zn, C13H28 N2 , H2 O] (IV) using benzotriazol, Ethane-1,2- Diamine, and 4,4’-Diaminocyclohexylmethane as ligands through one-pot method using anhydrous methanol or ethanol with dif ferent metal salt (2:1 eqv) metal to ligand stoichiometry.
The case of a patient treated so far due to arterial hypertension, requiring complex therapy who was referred to the Department of Cardiology due to ACS and suspected hypertrophic cardiomyopa thy. In the echocardiography- the left ventricular ejection fraction was normal, enlargedheart cavities and concentric LK hypertrophy up to 18 mm was found.
Although the recommended vascular access for hemodialysis is the arteriovenous fistula, tunneled central venous catheters (CVC) are commonly used for treatment. In hemodialysis patients, infec tions are the most common cause of morbidity and are the second most common cause of mortality of which CVCs are common po tential causes. Prevention, timely detection, and proper treatment of infections related to percutaneous vascular accesses are defining factors in the reduction of complications.
Haemoptysis is a fairly common condition which is encountered in an emergency setting. However, the exact cause may not be easily identifiable. In such scenarios, bronchial artery embolization can be considered to stop the bleeding.
