Individuals with bilateral transfemoral amputations experience great difficulty in prosthetic ambulation in their community be cause of high energy consumption during walking. We present the case of a 47-year-old male with bilateral transfemoral amputation who gradually became more fatigued when walking with pros theses 11 years after completing his first prosthetic training.
