High LOXL1-AS1 lncRNA expression is a prognostic biomarker for poor prognosis in cholangiocarcinoma

Cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL) is the most common malignant tumor of hepatobiliary system. The present study investigated the clinical significance and biological functions of LOXL1-AS1 in CHOL. The poor survival in CHOL has a probable prognostic molecular marker known as the LOXL1-AS1, and LOXL1-AS1 may be an important regulator of immune cell infiltration

Cardiopulmonary bypass graft in a post COVI-19 thalassemic patient

Thalassemia is of the most frequent haemoglobinopathy that includes a heterogeneous group of inherited autosomal recessive pathologies caused by defective synthesis of globin subunit that comprise haemoglobin production. In β-thalassemia, insufficient quantities of β-globin chains are produced, causing ineffective erythropoiesis and microcytic hypochromic anaemia.

Mayer- Rokitansky- KUster- Hauser Syndrome (MRKH SYNDROME)- An unusual case of primary amenorrhoea

The onset of mestruation is a significant milestone of sexual maturation in a girl child. Although there are numerous causes of primary amenorrhoea, Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome, also known as Müllerian aplasia is one the extremely rare cause of primary amenorrhoea which is usually picked up by suitable imaging technique like Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). MRKH is a rare congenital disorder that is characterised by aplasia of the uterus and upper part of the vagina with normal secondary sexual characters and a normal female karyotype (46, XX).

A case of delayed-onset paraplegia at 7 days after thoracic endovascular aortic repair

Paraplegia after thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) is a common complication, but it is rare for it to occur at 1 week after TEVAR. We describe a patient with delayed-onset paraplegia that occurred 7 days after TEVAR. A 76-year-old woman had a thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm and abdominal aortic aneurysm. She had undergone Y-graft replacement and visceral debranching surgery.
