Children’s Height in China in The Past Half Century

1. Abstract China was very poor for more than a few decades after WWII and was hit by severe famines in the end of the 1950s and the early-60s. Its economy started to make remarkably rapid progress in the 1980s to become nearly equivalent to the other north-east- ern countries, Japan and South Korea, toward the end of the last century.

Flow-Diverter Stents Combine Flow-T stenting Assisted Coiling for Treatment of Large Basilar Apex Aneurysm: A Case Report with 9-Month Follow-up

1. Abstract 1.1. Background: The treatment of wide-neck, large basilar apex aneurysm is challenging either endovascular or surgical. We present a novel concept for the treatment of complex basilar apex aneurysms using flow-diverter stents combined with flow-T stenting assisted coiling technique. Assess the efficacy and safety profile of the technique in this specific anatomic condition.

Online Multidisciplinary Intervention for Severe Binge Eating Behaviors in an Adolescent with Anorexia Nervosa: A Case Report

1. Introduction Eating disorders are serious mental disorders that damage phys- ical health and disturb the psychosocial functioning of patients. According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th edition (DSM-5), eating disorders encompass an- orexia nervosa (AN), bulimia nervosa (BN), binge eating disor- der (BED), avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder, and other specified feeding or eating disorders [1]. The clinical picture of these phenotypes, however, may become more complex over time and the profile of them in childhood differ from that of adults in the later stages of illness [2].

Reality or Fiction of the “Real Presence” of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist?

1. Abstract We investigated the possible case of a “bleeding host” found at the Franciscan Church of Schwarz, Tyrol, in 2016. Five years after initial discovery of the “bleeding host” by the Franciscan friars we discovered bacterial and fungal contamination of the host (wafer), but no solid proof of mammalian tissue was evidenced by histopathologymin 2021. Unfortunately, subsequent DNA-analysis failed due to limited material made available by the friars who put the remainder of the “bleeding host” into a monstrance placed in the tabernacle at the high altar of the church. In the very same part of the province Tyrol, Austria, in Fiecht, a similar case of a “bleeding Eucharistic Miracle” was already Catholic Church-approved in 1310 – and this one is still venerated by pilgrams coming from around the world.

Efficacy of Anti-HER2 Targeted Therapies on Peritoneal Metastasis of Lobular Mammary Carcinoma: A Case Report

1. Introduction Invasive lobular breast cancer (ILC) is the second most common histological subtype of breast cancer after invasive ductal cancer, comprising up to 15% of all cases. These tumors are generally of a good prognostic phenotype, being low histological grade and low mitotic index, hormone receptor positive and HER2 negative.

Mathematical Modeling of Histone Deacetylases to Predict their Response against Belinostat Drug Treatment for Smooth Muscle Cells Proliferation

1. Abstract 1.1. Background: The family of enzymes known as histone deacetylases (HDACs) serves as an objective target for regulating the phenotypic of smooth muscle cells (SMCs) and advanced smooth muscle cells (ASMCs).

A Case Report and Literature Review of Breast Sparganosis

1. Abstract Sparganosis is a global zoonotic parasitic disease caused by sparganum, a plerocercoid tapeworm larva of the genus Spirometra. Among them, breast sparganosis is a rare disease, accounting for less than 2% of the total number of human cases. The major common clinical presentation is the breast tumor-like mass, and preoperative diagnosis is typically challenging in most cases.

A Case of Severe Postoperative Agitation and Literature Review

1. Abstract Postoperative agitation in adults is a common occurrence during the recovery period after anesthesia. It can lead to serious injuries for both the patients themselves and the medical care team. Unlike delirium, agitation is a self-limited clinical condition in which patients regain consciousness. However, the current literature on postoperative agitation in adults is relatively scarce compared to that in children, and it is limited to small-scale clinical studies that use inconsistent evaluation scales, definitions, and time points. As a result, the reported incidence rates vary widely.
