Uterine Sarcomas – Review of Literature

1. Summary Uterine sarcomas are rare and comprise only 3% of all uterine can- cers, 8% of malignant uterine tumors. Within the group of soft tissue sarcomas they occure in 7% of all cases. They consist of different histological subtypes as leiomyosarcoma, endometrial stromal tumor, undifferentiated sarcoma, pure heterologous sar- coma and mixed epithelial and […]

Innovation and Review in, Health Monitoring Systems and Wearable Medical Sensors

1. Abstract This paper presents wearable sensors for medical application and medical systems. The sensors and antennas were developed and measured in vicinity of the human body. The electrical characteristics of human body tissues were considered in the design. Healthcare and wearable industry have been in continuous growth in the last decade.

Drug Discoveries and Challenges for Polymeric Medical Packaging Devices

1. Abstract Background of this study is to analyze different kind of challenges are facing during stability studies of the product. Significance of this study is whether the primary Medical Packaging devices are compatible with the product or not. Basic methodology is used wide ranges of Analytical testing required to avoid market complaint and financial […]

In Search for the Right Track from Definition to Diagnosis and Treatment for Heart Failure

1. Abstract Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), a phenotypic artificial marker of cardiac systolic function, has been traditionally used for the classification of heart failure (HF) patients. However, LVEF suffers from several limitations and drawbacks that make its use debatable. Recently, a new index, myocardial work index, has been proposed. This novel index contains two […]

Platelet Rich Therapy for the Treatment of Osteonecrosis of the Jaw: An Assessment of 14 cases and Review of Technique

Medication related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) is a debili tating condition characterized by exposure of non-healing necrotic bone lasting eight weeks or longer in the mandible or maxilla after medication use. Most commonly, MRONJ is a concern for patients receiving bisphosphonate therapy, most commonly for patients undergoing cancer treatment. The use of bisphosphonates in the treatment of osteoporosis has also been implied in the genesis of MRONJ, although at a lower rate [1]

Correlation of IL-6 and C-reactive protein levels with the stage, differentiation and types of colorectal cancer-A cross sectional study

Interleukin-6(IL-6) and CRP have been involved in anti-inflam matory reaction and autoimmune diseases. Interleukin is known for enabling cancer growth and is essential for tumour-directed immune response. CRP modulates inflammatory responses and stimulate platelet and leukocyte responses associated with acute phase responses to tumour growth. Its accumulation in blood is as sociated with a low-level inflammatory response and is indicative of advancing disease, as occurs in cancer

Soliton Phenomena in the Process of the Functioning of the Heart

The biochemical model explains the intricate mechanisms of psy chobiological life. He still cannot explain what the transition from inanimate to living matter is all about. Where is the threshold and what is its essence, what role do biochemical processes play in the coherence of the soma with consciousness and its impact on the soma and vice versa? A similar problem is with other mental pro cesses, their nature does not fit into the biochemical model of life and is inexplicable on the basis of biochemical interactions, again it is much easier to describe it in the light of quantum processes – including wave physics. It is similar with the functioning of the heart or other organs, where only the biochemical processes of the cell are considered, ignoring the bioelectronic processes. Man is not only a purely biological construct, but also contains the basis of biochemical, bioelectronic, information and cybernetic process es that are responsible for shaping the psychobiological processes of man. Contemporary biosystems in science are considered at the level of corpuscular structures, ignoring energy and information structures. By shifting the cognitive emphasis towards energy and information structures, the organism can be perceived as a quan tum generator of information: electromagnetic, soliton, acoustic, spin and bioplasma. This bioelectronic construction creates homo electronicus with his electronic personality

A New Vision of Hearing

The hearing theory announced in the first half of the 20th century by Georg von Bekesy requires reviewing and updating. There has been a huge advancement in the sciences ever since, which allows to deepen the understanding of processes responsible for reception, processing and transmission of acoustic information. The study paid attention to several issues related to hearing, which require a deeper analysis. A bold hypothesis was stated that the signal in the form of a sound wave does not necessarily have to run through the cochlear fluids and the basilar membrane. It may reach the hearing cells through the bone of the cochlear enclosure. Attention was draw to the meaning of swinging motions of the stirrup and of the inertia in the middle ear and the inner ear.

School Children’s Height in Beijing

This joint report by a group of noted human biologists in Beijing examines secular growth of school boys and girls, 7 to 17 years of age, in Beijing, over the half century, 1955 to 2010, by 10 year interval, based on derived data from published researches for the period of 1955 to 1975 and Chinese National Surveys of Students Constitution and Health for the rest of the period.

Loss of Taste, Smell and Oral Manifestations in COVID-19

COVID 19 mainly affects the respiratory, gastrointestinal and neurological systems but it also involves the oral cavity, olfactory and integumentary system. The oral manifestations of COVID 19 along with inflammatory response of surrounding tissues are due to angiotensin converting enzymes (ACE 2) and Trans membrane serine protease (TMPRSS 2). ACE 2 and TMPRSS 2 play a key role in virus transmission through saliva and shows its expression in the salivary glands, oral mucosal epithelium.
